When I was very young, my mother taught me about "freedom" by explaining there is freedom to & freedom from.
As a hardline communist (in her opinion), she was completely on the side of freedom from. Shall I tell her that puts her in GWB's camp:-) Or shall we tell GWB that he's a spot on stalinist?

I think that *knowing* with absolute certainty that you are not only right, but that others are dangerously wrong is the scariest thing... with beliefs like that... anything is possible.
