I like train travel too - at least on holidays! I commuted into London for 6 years by train which wasn't exactly fun.
I enjoyed travelling to Paris by train from London (pre-Channel Tunnel days) and have traveled around central Italy on a train which was a pretty cool way of meeting people.
Now that's something you can't do in a car -- sit in leisure, admire the landscape, and read a book.

I love trains. I took one cross-country about 16 years ago. It was heaven!
