I really don't know which I find more astonishing - the fact that laws like this are conceived [pun intended], the fact that they get passed or the fact that there are some women out there who actually support them! Talk about a classic case of false consciousness!!
I keep thinking that the US can't get any more bizarre but I just get proved wrong time and again.
