I suppose that part of it was his tenure from 8 June 1974–21 March 1981 which where definitely my formative years. He also had two of my all time favourite companions which probably helped a bit! Of course he was just so totally off-the-wall and basically anarchic (but so full of fun) that I just had to love the guy!
Tom was my first Doctor ... and my favorite. Even though he has only seen a few of his episodes, my son loves Tom Baker and wants the iconic Doctor Who scarf.
My favorite Doctor!
ReplyDeleteThe only Doctor Who as far as I'm concerned. He set the gold standard - which no one else met.
ReplyDeleteA Tom Baker fan, I knew there was a reason I liked you!

Do you have winter in AZ? Is there much call for a scarf? [grin]
Thinking about it I should really pick up some of his DVDs..... Or will re-watching them ruin the memory? [muses]
He-he. We can drive 2 hours and get real winter (and snow) in Flagstaff.
ReplyDeleteNetflix has a bunch of old episodes from all the Doctors. We watch quite a few.
