He sang "Hound Dog" to a bassett hound named Sherlock, when he appeared on The Steve Allen Show, but the dog in this picture doesn't have the same coloring, so I don't think it's Sherlock.
I did a quick Google search on this. I found several examples of this picture and references to the song 'Hound dog' but not once did it mention the dogs name. I guess it wasn't felt to be important as he's just a prop.
