  3. Not seeing the film?

  4. Nope. The only film in the series that I would even call reasonable was Episode 4 back in 1977. The pre-trilogy was frankly some of the worse films I've EVER seen - and I've seen a lot of films!

  5. We're going to see it Christmas Eve. M also agrees the pre-trilogy are horrible. M says IV, V, VI are okay. Oh, and season two for The Man in the High Castle is now official. http://io9.gizmodo.com/the-man-in-the-high-castle-season-two-is-officially-hap-1748727174?utm_campaign=socialflow_io9_facebook&utm_source=io9_facebook&utm_medium=socialflow

  6. Cool. I'll let you know what I thought of season one when I finish it.

BTW - I can highly recommend 'Bridge of Spies'. Loved it. Tom Hanks was awesome. Looking forward to 'In the Heart of the Sea' between Christmas/New Year.

  7. Having watched it tonight, it's much closer to the trilogy than the prequels. JJ Abrams did a far better sequel to Star Wars than he did a reboot of Star Trek. In terms of story and visuals, this film paid a LOT of homage to the original Star Wars movie.

  8. Loved Bridge of Spies, but I think Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy was better for me as far as spy movies go.

  9. Stephen: I'd heard that JJ had 'saved' the series. He couldn't really make anything worse than Ep 1-3 though! The trailer certainly looked the part and some friends who have seen it said that even I might like it.... but I'm still not going.

V V : Personally I liked BoS more than TTSS, although I liked both for what they are. I'm going to have to read up on the Tom Hanks character though. He sounded fascinating.
