there's no writer like Merritt... talk about overusing adjectives: he was the master... i read most of his work and still have 5 or 6 of them... try the Metal Monsters for egregious description capable of precipitating one into a permanent state of aphasia...
Can't remember reading anything by him but no doubt I did years ago when I read lots of Pulp short stories. I just LOVE the lurid covers. Have you noticed how alien creatures from across the galaxy come here purely to steal our women! Bizarre!!
