I think past eras are OK to visit (after you've had your shots - oh, so many shots) but I certainly wouldn't want to *live* there for any length of time!
I like flushing toilets (and toilet paper!), antibiotics, cable, and decent bookshops.... to name just a few things.
i wish i had a time machine: i'd be back there in a flash...
