An interesting film, spoiled by an incompetent actor. I kept wishing that Morgan Freeman played the lead role. Now that would have been something to watch.
@ Fred: I really quite enjoyed it. Definitely a cut above the average Hollywood fare we're used to. Although not a huge fan of Cruise (who basically can't act) I find that I like quite a few of the films he's starred in.
@ Mudpuddle: Future, post-alien invasion, mop-up crew (including Cruise). everything they thought they knew was lies, followed by righteous fight-back.
that's right; i remember it now... actually, we quite enjoyed it as well... i don't know about Cruise's acting ability: i think he acts, but it's just one character... John Wayne did the same thing for decades and he was quite successful...
