@ Both: I haven't seen anything like this IRL but I have from time to time 'released books back into the wild' by leaving books I no longer want deliberately on a bus or in a public space, but mostly I take them to the Oxfam shop to get recycled and make a bit on money for charity too - plus I usually pick up one or two when I'm there.... [grin]
we have a few of these; more on the coast, tho... i know there's one in Kalama; i got a book there once...
