Most definitely. Oddly, although I could read well before I went to school, I only started reading voraciously from my early teens. I've spent over 40 years trying to catch up on lost time.
I remember having to argue with my teacher that I could read at a higher level than she thought I should be able to. It took some convincing but eventually she let me read anything they had.

ReplyDeleteI started reading at 3. Eleanor did too. I've read to her since she was a fetus, I wanted to make sure she came out right - and indeed, she did!
