@ Mudpuddle: Indeed it is the same book. Don't you just hate it when they do that? I don't understand why they change titles when they cross the Atlantic. I've bought at least one (possibly two) books with different titles that turned out to be identical. Not amused.
@ James: I've read a few Ballard but I did find them challenging...! [lol] I still have a few I haven't read though so.... I think my favourite was 'Empire of the Sun' with the book being better than the film adaptation.
is this "the burning world" under another title? great book with a golden age Rolly in it...

ReplyDeleteWhile I haven't read this one, I have found J. G. Ballard to be a great writer of speculative fiction.
