  1. Beautiful. We just finished watching Highlander: The Series and it featured the song Bonny Portmore frequently. That one chokes me up every time.

  2. Can't beat a bit of Celtic/Gaelic... Even if I can't understand a word it's sublime.

Enjoyed the first Highlander film... The sequels not so much [grin]

Happy New Year to you & yours Mike. I do really hope that 2022 is an improvement!

  5. Oh, the Highlander sequels are terrible. The Highlander 2 director's cut is slightly better. The show is much better than all the sequels.

I can tolerate bagpipes from time to time, but Uilleann pipes get me right in the feels. I blame Sting's Soul Cages album, and the soundtrack for Braveheart.

    Happy New Year!

  6. @ V V: Gotta LOVE the human voice when it can produce music like that. Thanks for pointing me in that direction.

@ Mudpuddle & Mike: Bagpipes played well can be completely haunting. I was intrigued by their recent use in the Dune movie with the Atredies family. Loved the Braveheart soundtrack. I have it on CD.

@ Sarah: Just popped up in my YouTube feed. Immediately felt the need to share!
