Oh, dear, MP, what did you lads get up to? I joined briefly but found my local troop more interested in playing kickball than going on hikes and such, so I returned to camping with my friends. The handbook was great, though -- I still have one of mine.
@ Stephen: Mudpuddle's comment gave me pause too! [lol] I wasn't with my 'troop' long enough to find out what the Scouts did in inner city Liverpool. I doubt if there was very much hiking or camping in the woods! [grin]
Interesting! Never knew the Scouts had a comic, but I'm not surprised. They used to be a much stronger organization.
ReplyDeleteI never joined the Scouts. I was with the Cubs just long enough to persuade my Mum to buy my uniform. As soon as that happened I got bored and left...
