  2. I never did organic chemistry in school. We called it 'Stinks' for the obvious reasons.. It only came to me recently that we could've called students who studied it 'Stinkers'...!! [grin]

  4. I remember in one class where we used Cyanide for some reason. We had to pour it into a glass tube and then drip it slowly into a container until it changed colour. Apparently the teacher was terrified to talk to me until the experiment had finished because I wasn't using a funnel, so she was afraid that I'd drip it on my hand/bare skin if she shouted "STOP" at the top of her voice!! [lol]

  6. Absorbed through the skin apparently... Back in the 70's our Science teaching was a great deal less 'regulated' and 'safe' than it is now! Oh, the things we exploded and set fire to in our time.... [grin] Oh, and this was 11-13 year olds... [lol]
