I suppose that makes *some* sense (cultural identification etc..) but wouldn't it be better/more accurate to portray them as they would have looked IRL?
It's so ridiculous to portray Jesus and his family as anything but who they were. It takes away from the importance of the cuclture and society they lived in. They lived in what is now Palestine. They should be represented as such.

ReplyDeleteLiterally every single culture depicts Joseph and Mary as being from their own culture. I've seen Japanese holy families, Nigerian holy families. etc.
