  1. From Wiki (before anyone asks!):

The House and Workshop of master glassmaker Sterner in Brussels, Belgium, is the former town house and workshop of the master glassworker Clas GrĂ¼ner Sterner. It was designed by the architect Ernest Delune, and built between 1893 and 1902, in Art Nouveau style.

The house is located at 6, rue du Lac/Meerstraat in the municipality of Ixelles, not far from the Ixelles Ponds.

  2. This is one of the reasons Brussels is my favourite city. The architecture is just breathtaking.

  3. I'm a BIG fan of architecture & Design so LOVE details like this on buildings. I do really like finding idiosyncratic things like this - that most people seem to just walk by and ignore. Of course I have all too often been looked at funny (or dragged away by friends/girlfriends) after taking 10 photographs of a door handle that caught my eye.... [lol]

  4. If you ever get to Brussels, go to the tourist information and get yourself a little map with all the Art Nouveau buildings. It's only about a Euro and so helpful. Enjoy.
