I think its more about letting things happen to you, staying a while if you like it, getting to know people, not being 'pressured' by having to "bag" certain things or be somewhere at a certain time. It's a nice idea - if you don't have just two weeks to cram in as much 'experience' as possible and come back from 'holiday' exhausted!!
I've walked along part of it... But I think its only around 80 miles so maybe a week's stroll with visiting places along the way. Could be a FUN holiday if you get reasonable weather.
So Godot is the quintessential good traveler.

At some point I want to wander the entire length of Hadrian's Wall and see what cool stuff I stumble upon along the way.
