  3. When I was in 7th grade (age 12/13), our new history teacher was a 'cool' teacher, a recent college grade who shorts and sandals to class. During the medieval section he showed us this title. I've been quoting it since -- along with Life of Brian, though it's not as mineable.

  4. I'm still amazed that the BBC(!) essentially gave the Monty Python team permission to make whatever they wanted to...and then *broadcast* it!! Some of it was hit/miss but when they HIT... OMG was it funny. Totally weird for the time but often hilarious.

  5. A friend of mine was bewildered by it, especially the lecturerer being mowed down by rampaging knight -- and the mass arrest scene at the beach!

  6. Oh, I can imagine! [lol] I'm not sure that anything they did made sense 100% of the time. At least it never did to me. I think it probably made the Python team laugh and any laughs anywhere else was a bonus.
