Or.... You could live in or move to a country (AKA any other country than the USA) that has a Healthcare system NOT designed to bankrupt you if you have a medical issue.... Just saying.... Plus... WHY would you *want* to work 12 hours a day?

No one in their right mind wants to work 12 hour days.

Indeed. I've worked overtime - 10 hour days, 10 days in a row with a weekend off before doing it again for about 3 months on a project @ work. At the end of it I was EXHAUSTED (despite being a LOT younger back then) but my bank balance was VERY happy... Never again I thought!! [lol]

Depends on what they're doing -- people who are consumed by a passion for painting, writing, etc may do it if a certain project is ringing their bell. Some business and political types are so driven they almost never stop working. They're a minority, though.

Oh, I can certainly see short term reasons to work longer hours - like starting or finishing projects or being 'in the zone' and not wanting to lose focus. But I do think 'all work & no play' isn't healthy when taken too far. Personally I've always valued my 'off' time more highly than work time even in jobs I've really enjoyed.
