I've never watched the show, but I'd have to agree with JM, she's not goth. I think she's a watered down version for prime time t.v.
TvTropes.org has an entire listing of TV-versions of stereotypes: Hollywood Liberal, Hollywood Nerd, Hollywood Scientists, and so on. Maybe Abby is a Hollywood Goth -- or maybe she just has her own style.
