  2. I never picked up the coffee habit. I tried it a few times in my early teens and really didn't like the taste. I liked the smell - just not the taste.

Over the years I have had the odd sip (mostly by accident) and still don't like it.

I get my caffeine hit via Diet Coke, Coke Zero and Pepsi Max.... and Vanilla Coke too now its back on sale here after a 6 year absence.

  3. I've recently rediscovered coffee, due to long hours at work. I used to drink it with cream and sweetener, but now drink it black.

I love tea as well, I usually add sweetener to it.

I drink Diet Coke, etc. in restaurants, but sometimes will do unsweetened iced tea.

I'm reminded of the line from Sting's song Englishman in New York.

"I don't drink coffee I take tea my dear
I like my toast done on one side
And you can hear it in my accent when I talk
I'm an Englishman in New York"

  4. Mike quoted: I like my toast done on one side.

How weird! Half toast, half soggy bread..... Yuk. That'd actually make pretty crap toast..... [lol]

  5. Agreed, always sounded strange to me. There's a lot of conjecture on the internet about it, but I suspect there are millions of Americans who love Sting, and think that's the way people like their toast in the UK.

  6. I found this -

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toast

Although it doesn't explicitly say that it's browned on both sides it's certainly implied. To be honest I've never heard of one-sided toast. To me that wouldn't be toast at all.

  7. Some thought it was a reference to a toasting fork, toasting bread over a fire. Others seem to think he says "I like my toast done on the side.", like he likes it with his tea.
