I recently put out a small display of autobiographies -- literary biographies, yet. Would you believe someone actually checked out a bigraphy of T.S. Eliot?! (No takers on George Eliot, though. Not yet..)
Me, too. I've never read Eliot, but I have watched with fascination a movie about his life -- "Tom and Viv". It's about his first marriage to a mentally unstable society woman. Very tragic, really, and depressing. I don't know why I've watched it FOUR times. Maybe because it has characters like Bertrand Russell and Virginia Woolf..

ReplyDeleteNot being hugely into poetry (or at all actually) and not reading much biography I think I'd struggle with the T S Eliot book... [grin]
