It's another shot of the Lockheed XFV pictured below in b/w. I think this is the expected take off/landing position as it was designed for convoy protection without the use of aircraft carriers. I imagine that it wasn't very stable in rough seas! Just imagine trying to land the thing in a Force 5 gale!
