Awww, sorry. If it's any consolation, most of us girls never learned to speak male. I was always surprised to find out male friends were interested in me romantically. I felt like an idiot for not picking up on the signals, then felt awkward because I wasn't in the same place emotionally as they were, and nothing I could say at that point would spare the guy the hurt. Then I hurt, for years, for hurting guys I genuinely cared about, just not that way.
Reading people is *hard*. Projecting your feelings into the world (without actually saying what they are) doesn't really work. But saying how you feel about someone.... now that's *hard*!
I suppose that part of the problem is that we feel so much that we expect other people to pick up on it almost by telepathy. Like that's going to work... [lol]
in my experience, i don't believe any man ever learns to speak female very well...
ReplyDeleteNot a skill I ever learnt.... I kinda get the gist mostly but I've accepted the fact that 'getting-by' is as good as it gets. [grin]
