One of my favorite things about Parks and Rec is their rivalry with the library. They call us "punk ass book jockeys". On screen, their library is a very 1950s place, with only books and the "Shh!" frowny librarian. Not remotely realistic these days!
@ Stephen: Never actually seen it - apart from clips - but it sounds like fun. It is funny though how TV often portrays out of date versions of reality.
@Cyberkitten: It's sort of like The Office meets city hall, in that it's a "documentary" and the characters are aware of the camera. Unlike The Office, they never explain why they're being filmed.
