Indeed it is - but it seems that co-operation in the background is a thing of the past at the moment at least. We are living through a very partisan moment. How long it will last... who knows?
@ Sarah: We have *mostly* a 2 Party system but that's the result of our 'first past the post' system of elections. If we had Proportional Representation we'd have multi-party politics like most of Europe. Not sure I'm a big fan of PR though. Too much scope for the Far Right & Left to gain a foothold.

ReplyDeletePretty much. We will never have anything more than a two-party system and that is frustrating.
