@ Brian: I've just read a book on European architecture so went looking for some of the examples it mentioned. I'm actually quite a fan of Brutalism (this building is an example of that style) but, although very impressive, this one doesn't really 'do' it for me. More to come though!! [grin]
if that's Cyrillic across the top, then it's most likely Russian... no?

I like this building, but I wouldn't want to live there.
ReplyDeleteI like unique architecture but this one is a bit too drab for me, despite the funky shapes.

ReplyDelete@ Sarah: I'm a sucker for concrete slabs (blame being a city boy) and a bit of Brutalist architecture can blow you away if done well.
