have you read any Lovecraft? some of it was pretty terrifying when i read it as a teen... "The Mountains of Madness" gave me nightmares for years...
I may have read the 'odd' short story in anthologies but noting directly by him. I do have 'Mountains' and others in a single volume. I might try them one day.... Maybe.....
