I (almost) know what you mean. I was practically told to take some extended time off because I have accumulated so much leave this year. We get a standard 30 days a year but I brought a further 10 days over from last year too. We've had a pretty busy year (again) this year so I didn't feel comfortable taking time off when the whole team was so busy so still have loads of leave to take - hence 18 days off.

Normally, yes! [grin] But this year (again) I'm having Christmas here at home so have access to the Internet, games and my own DVD collection which all dig into reading time. Plus I'm taking the opportunity to read some heavy (in both senses) books rather than lots of little ones - so I'm expecting to get through only 4-5.
I hope that you get at least *some* down time over the holiday season!
My work schedule will admittedly be pretty light the next few weeks. At the very least, I'll have two 4-day weekends. But even during my so-called "work week", I don't foresee it being too busy. I'll probably be getting a few movies watched and a book or two read.

Sweet!
I'm with you on that one, 19 days for me, though I expect to be unofficially preparing for my winter class when I return from the cruise.

I haven't had longer than 10 days off since I was in school.

Sounds like a fun holiday all around.
