I'm realizing suddenly that my new feedreader (since the old one announced they were closing up shop) is not following your posts! I'm signed up, but no new posts appear in the feed. Guess I'll have to visit the old fashioned way!
Yeah, the drone business is pretty bad news for us. I think the technology is great--or maybe it has many useful applications--but we seem to have become WAAAAY too lax in our dispatch of these things. Typical bully behavior, it seems.

I think it's used a *lot* because its easy - the 'pilots' are far away and safe @ home, everything is on TV so it feels pretty much like a game after a while and at the touch of a button 'bad-guys' die. What could be simpler?
Of course what many people seem to forget are...... Due process (who decided they are 'bad-guys' and who gave them the right to simply execute people at the push of a button), so-called collateral damage (the number of innocent people killed in each strike who may have simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time) and, not forgetting, a time may come in the not too distant future when people are doing it to you guys. At the moment the US is largely immune from counter strikes. This won't last forever! Oh, and lastly its not exactly making you a lot of friends in the rest of the world.....

I think there's nothing wrong on your end. I just need a different feed reader (I'm currently using a plug-in on Chrome--which is, I believe, a Google product, so I'm surprised it doesn't work better). I'll figure something out.
The business of someone using drones against us is one of those issues that seems so simple and is so rarely applied (like extraordinary rendition or black ops prisons on foreign soil). Just *imagine* how this country would react with others doing to us as we do to them! It's simple Golden Rule stuff.
And we liberals had hoped Obama would cure this country of much of the poison released by W and his cabal. Alas, though I admire much in the current President, he has many failings and this is one of them. (And as I've often said, so long as his opponents spend most of their time making ridiculous, hysterical, made-up claims about him, we will remain unable to have an adult discussion about his *real* failings.)
