Oh, I've had huge issues with the 'new' Dr Who. Then again I've had problems with most of the re-imaged or re-booted series over the past 5+ years (with the strange exception of Battlestar Galactica).
I guess that I'm just an old stick in the mud [lol]
Don't hurt me, but I never cared for the old Doctor Who. Someone suggested I watch Blink from Tennants run as the Doctor, and I was hooked. Love the weeping angels.
I loved the Battlestar Galactica reboot, I didn't even hate the ending us much as many did.
My wife and I watched BSG together. She didn't know All Along The Watchtower, so she didn't recognize it when they started piecing it together with the musical themes that hinted at Bear McCreary's full version of it. I was practically jumping up and down with excitement as each sleeper cylon headed towards the room where they would meet. Yeah it got weird, but to me it was a cool kind of weird.
I did laugh out loud when I heard about the re-make. But when I saw some advance shots and then trailers for the so-called mini-series I was intrigued. After about 30 minutes I was hooked.

I can never see gas masks without thinking of The Empty Child episode of Doctor Who: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Empty_Child
That was one of the few half OK episodes...... Quite creepy in parts.
I enjoyed quite a few episodes, though I'm a season or two behind now, and I don't know if I'll catch up or not.

lol - I hardly ever get uptight about differences of opinion - even ones as fundamentally wrong as that one! [grin]

BSG rocked. OK, it got a bit weird towards the end but still.... EXCELLENT TV.

At least there wasn't a furry robot dog. ;)
I loved the original when I was a kid,but it was pretty cheesy. I think the remake will hold up much better over time.

Oh, please! Don't remind me! I did have a horrible moment when they picked up that kid in the pilot but thankfully - No Dog!
Same here!
Is that a watch strapped to the little girl's ankle?
Well spotted. It does look like a wrist watch doesn't it? I'm not sure what it is. Wearing a wrist watch there would seem a little weird..... [muses]
It might be a pool pass or something I guess???
Or a key to her changing locker???
