My brother also kept snakes, boas and pythons. He would take them out to the yard to "walk" them. I came running through the yard one day and stepped on obe that immediately coiled up my leg. I was kicking and screaming trying to get it off my leg while my brother laughed.
Oh, and I read an article aboutliterary Baltimore, Maryland, and thought it sounded like a dream tour for you. Here's the article: http://lithub.com/a-literary-long-weekend-in-baltimore/
One of my brother's snakes (called Ralph from memory) escaped a few times and once curled up asleep under my Mother's bed. Needless to say she was not amused!
That long weekend does sound cool - but I think it would cost me a fortune in baggage charges to get everything back home... [lol]

Yuck! A snake for hair would make my skin crawl.
[lol] I have pixs of some interesting hair bands you won't like then!
I actually quite like snakes (my brother kept some years ago) as long as I know that they're not the poison type..
