Oh my gosh! I'm listening to NPR who are linking with BBC's afternon edition, talking politics. Talk about weird tales! You're got crazies over there too! One Brit woman said she liked Donald Trump. She found him absolutely fascinatng. An American guy responded with, "yeah, well hurricanes are fascinating, but I wouldn't want to be near one." It's amazing the crazy things people believe. One American woman didn't like Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama. When the radio host pointed out they caught Osama bin Laden, she said, no they dn't, George Bush did. When the radio host pointed out he was caught during Obama's administration, she countered, "only because Bush hunted him for ten years." The Host pointed out, but Bush didn't catch him. I was screaming at the radio, "how could he hunt him for ten years when he was only in office for eight?" I need to step further back from politics. These people drive me crazy. Sorry you seem to have them over there as well.
Yup, LOTS of nuts on both sides of the pond. But I have a modicum of 'faith' that reason more often prevails than craziness. OK, we do seem to be going through a pretty crazy time over the last 15-20 years (and its not over yet) but I have my fingers crossed that people will eventually come to their senses.... Maybe.... Guess you'll find out in November and we'll find out next Spring!
Trump is inciting his followers to violence. Today I saw this story about one of our governors doing the same. The level of hysteria and hatred toward Clinton has been thirty years in the making by the extreme right. *sigh*
From over here it looks like the Republicans are desperate. Maybe they realise that this might be their last chance at the Presidency for some time. Their anger is a manifestation of their fear. The greater the fear the greater the anger against a world that is turning against them.....

There's a lot of poor, uneducated, white male rage happening. Hopefully it's their last hurrah.
