Stranglely enough there may be some truth here. I don't necessarily think it is forgiveness, but I have relatives with severe personality flaws. Sometimes acknowledging to myself that they are indeed idiots and will not change helps me to deal with them and slows me to compartmentalize some of their bad behavior.
@ Sarah: I try not to be serious *all* of the time [grin]
@ Brian: Unfortunately there are people out their who actually *are* idiots. Some of them can't help it. So there's not much point in taking their idiocy personally.

I find that things are usually more complicated than I think... and the more I delve the more complicated they get.
