I've never been happy being put in either category and you'd probably get different answers to the question about me depending on who you asked and what I felt like at the time. It's a very easy (read lazy) way of diving people into an either/or category. I really don't think life works that way. At least not with me!

A musician I like claims to be an ambivert, who can alternate between being incredible social and being incredibly withdrawn.

i agree; some persons are pleasant to be around and others aren't... i hear the sound of gestalts clashing...
