I was just looking at the Delthleff's UK website trying to find out if their all electric/solar e.homes were available for sale, and if so, how much. I keep "designing" in my head an off-grid rv. It would have an electric engine/motor that would be constantly powered by solar panels that wrap every inch of the outside of the rv, plus have bladeless wind turbines in the front grill to generate electricity while driving, and it would also have the option to plug in to re-charge the batteries that would be stored in a compartment in the floor of the rv. I really home someone builds this by the time I'm ready to retire.

i really think someone is working on it, VV... just depends on whether whoever thinks it will make money...

The two main problems I've read about are the cost and the miles per charge. The Germans have made it work in a cost effect method using just solar and with a distance of 100 miles before recharging. Mitsubishi has made it work with wind turbines for about the same mileage, I think. Combining the two power sources and an extra battery should get you to the 300 mile range which would be what most people would want. I really wish I had the money and ability to work on this.
