frankly, having no will power, i haven't had that problem... when i like a book, or want to read it, my subcutaneous nature grabs it and won't let go until i've finished it...
I'm *trying* to read books in a shorter time between actually buying them and finally reading them. Reading a book less than a month after I buy it is rare. Waiting a year or more is not uncommon. I sometimes think I have far too many books to read..... [lol]
i counted mine last winter and came up with 2500, + or -... a lot of them i haven't yet read, and i know at this point i'll never get around to some... but i still want them: it's like living in an actual civilization....
Being surrounded by books is very comforting. With the world full of fake news, status updates and tweets a book, or better still stacks of books, feel solid, warm and protective.
