I LOVE this design for a space station ever since I saw it in 2001: A Space Odyssey. I was SO disappointed when the ISS didn't follow this design. I mean how cool would *that* be?
@ James: I think SF definitely drew me into the science mindset. After reading SF I often looked for science books to expand on themes of the various books I'd been reading - from future tech to space travel, physics and chemistry. I do love me some HARD SF.
@ Judy: Yes, I noticed that this is one of your rare non-book post comments! It's a beautiful sight (enhanced in the short video I posted later). I really hope that they build something like this at some point. That'd just be awesome!

I appreciate it when the science fiction is based in recognizable science, even when imagined. That being said, some science fiction is just hard.
I don't usually comment on these posts of yours (I'm sure you have noticed that) but I loved the image.
