My night vision is TERRIBLE these days. After it gets dark - even with my overhead light on - I need an extra powerful halogen light over my shoulder to read. Love it though. I can see EVERYTHING with that sucker on!
@ James: The *great* thing about books is that you can read them anywhere there's enough light. No batteries, no cables, nothing. Just you and bound sheets of paper.... Bliss.
I have been off-line for days as I’ve been devouring the Deborah Harkness _Discovery of Witches_ trilogy. I’m almost finished with the second book. I haven’t enjoyed a set of books this much in years!
Hi V V - I have that trilogy! Guess I need to bump it up the list. They're chunky too I know. That'll help me with my review backlog which is persistently staying @ 10-11 books!!

i've noticed my vision isn't what it used to be, either: must be a manufacturer's defect...
@ Mudpuddle: SO many defects.... I feel a factory recall in the offing!!! [lol]
LOL
I need a bright light to read, but that still looks like heaven to me.

I’m enjoying the history, the locations, and the characters.
