And that being alone is OKAY! If I had my way, Eleanor would be home with me all the time and would not have to go to her dad's house. But, I have learned to love the time we are apart because it allows me to do my reading and blogging. And when I am reading and blogging, I don't sit and cry until she's home. No joke, I did that A LOT when she was itty bitty and had to go to his house. It was awful. I still would rather she be home all the time, but at least now I use the time to be productive.
Indeed! I love many things about books - being able to 'inhabit' other people's minds and *feel* as they did in situations you (mostly) hope you'll never encounter for real - or does that just reflect the type of books I read? Plus I think reading really gives you the ammunition to be alone with the thoughts in your own head - because there's SO many of them after reading a lot.
