Indeed! I had some of his stuff from ages ago on cassette until I replaced them with CDs. The Vangelis soundtrack is such a big part of my love for Bladerunner that I can't really separate the two.
@ Mike: Completely agree - although the music for Bladerunner 2049 was excellent too!
@ Marianne: Totally loved his music from the first minute I heard it. Electronic music is a 'happy place' for me but I'm sure that he'd be a great composer whatever era he lived in.
I have a whole CD shelf of the stuff - mostly from the 80's of course. Typically most of it is standard 'pop' music but there's some great music in there too. There is a definite comfort vide to it. I guess it reminds me of my teens/early 20's. Not exactly stress free (being the 70's & 80's!) but generally good times.
From the German side of things I picked up a CD by Conrad Schnitzler (Con) recently which I liked. I think I'll get more of his.

He was such a huge part of my love of music and film music in particular. This one hurts.

Absolutely! It's one of those films that wouldn't have been the same without his music.
He was one of the great ones. No matter whether you liked the film or not, his music was just fantastic.

I love Blade Runner Blues...
I was VERY impressed by both movies...
@ CyberKitten. True, electronic music certainly has got something. I don't know whether it's our age but I always find it comforting, as well.

So do we. They're more hubby's stuff, though. I think the two of you would get on well.
