This is Eleanor 100%. A few years ago when she was 4ish, my grandpa gave her a headlamp flashlight and I can't even count the number of times I would sneak in to take a peak at her after I put her to bed, and she would be reading with that on her head. It makes my heart so happy <3
It's not something I ever did (we probably couldn't afford the torches [grin]. I was more into listening to foreign radio stations on Long Wave late into the night when we could hear them. I actually loved the way the signal would fade in and out depending on atmospheric conditions. I often fell asleep to it growing up.
Fantastic. That was me for a long, long time. I was lucky to have my own bedroom since my three brothers shared theirs. And I have no idea whether my sons ever did that but they read all day long anyway, so I never checked whether they still did after bedtime. I'll have to ask them.
