Heard a clip on TikTok and tracked it [lol] down...... REALLY like it. I think this is one reason people get confused about my age. I mean, what music am I *supposed* to like???
I’m the same way. My musical taste is all over the place. If I hear something and like it, I will hunt it down! I’ve also found a lot of “new to me” music playing in the background on Tik Tok reels too. M is constantly confused when she rides with me and my music is playing.. “What’s this?” “How did you find that?” “Why are you listening to heavy metal?” Um, I really liked the music and guitar on this track. I always keep her surprised.
I like what I like - regardless of genre or what people expect. I like the music I grew up with (70's and 80's) but have also picked up ideas from friends & family, adverts, movie soundtracks and 100 other places. I like Classical, Pop, Punk, Indie, New Wave, Rock, Disco, Motown, Hip-Hop, various varieties of Rock, Jazz, Funk.... and on. Essentially a lifetime of musical experience... Why limit yourself to a few 'types' when you have a whole world and hundreds of years to listen to?
It's like when people ask me what I'm listening to on my headphones... So I say " Classic West African Jazz Funk fusion from the late 90's - in French" and they look at me as if I'm crazy........ [lol]
But my strangest music I think I actually own is Bjork singing jazz songs in Icelandic before she became famous. It's actually REALLY good & VERY funny....... [grin] Her later stuff with the Sugarcubes (also in Icelandic) in even better.

I couldn’t agree more! Whatever makes me happy or moves me, I’ll listen to it. I don’t care about genres.
