Cool name, though. It's an insane amount of building for just killing a planet, though. One would think that the future would have super-super drone missiles or something....(Star Trek Armada II had them. Underpowered, though. Armada II did a bad job balancing.)
Babylon 5 was much more realistic when they showed the Centauri bombarding the Narn home world with mass drivers using asteroids to pummel their cities and destroy the environment. That makes MUCH more sense than building something like the Death Star. Just think how many Star Destroyers you could've built with the metal in ONE station that can only be in ONE place at a time & is a HUGE target!!
B5 is often *very* good. Great characters, interesting situations & some great battles & dialogue. The 1st series tends to be 'story of the week', but once it gets fully into the story arc its often excellent.

Fun fact: that battlestation is FULLY ARMED and OPERATIONAL! (evil cackle)
lol
The Death Star was always SUCH a bad idea... Talk about ALL your eggs in one basket.

Sounds like I need to watch Babylon 5! There's a lot of SF in the 1990s/2000s that wasn't on my radar in the least.
