Now that "neutral" projects like infrastructure and voting reform have been politicized or demonized, we've lost any ability to rally behind common goals. Yet it's just these kinds of things that could help us all unite and give immigrants of different backgrounds something to rally behind together. Unfortunately, military service often becomes the unifying force, and I fear we are headed in that direction.
I'm so exhausted already. I work in a school with a massive Hispanic and Latino population. I won't give up my plan time, what makes ICE think I would ever give up a student? But in all seriousness, we've been conditioned that we must take a bullet for our students, so ICE is not getting a single one of my babies.
They *WANT* you to be exhausted. Its ALL part of their EVIL plan. Stay strong. Relax when you can. Make plans. Join with others. Start where you are. Use what you have. Talk it out with people. Remember: MOST people didn't vote for this or for him. You're definitely not alone!
Are you on BlueSky? If not, and you want the most up-to-date info, I highly recommend getting an account and following Alt National Park Services. I mentioned them in my 'Resist' post and they're giving information in real time, as federal employees are being given mandates. It makes me cautiously optimistic that trump-appointed judges are freezing or blocking altogether some of the shit musk is trying to do.

I do find it interesting that a country populated and built by immigrants has such a problem with immigration....
These are VERY early days. It's going to get *much* worse I'm afraid - even if you don't end up invading Panama!
