Yep. It feels very hopeless. I am mainly getting info right now from an account called Alt National Park Service to find out what is actually happening. There are about 50,000 federal employees participating. The account started in trump's first term, and I hope they are able to stay anonymous while also providing info. Things feel so much more dangerous this time around and it's scary. One of my favorite images came from a supporter in the first term and I posted it over on my blog
Oh, I think things in the US ARE much more dangerous this time.... However, I do think that things will get more difficult for the new administration once the shock & awe of the first month or two wear off. Unfortunately (for everyone but mostly for America) things then get *interesting* and not in a good way.
People do something. We go on the streets and post online. Unfortunately, that is about all we can do right now, and I guess that's even worse in the US where the idiot got elected. We'll join you soon, don't worry. :(
Definitely. I just meant, in Germany, we only fear what might happen but already protest, still, once it will have happened, and it will, I'm afraid, there will be more protests.
Protests and blackouts are being planned. I am extracting myself from Twitter as soon as I find everyone over on BlueSky, which is a much better alternative. I am also getting rod of Prime. On Monday the 3rd was 'A Day Without Immigrants' and over 350 students were gone from my school that day. It was wonderful to see, and a lot of news channels reported on it, so I am hopeful that helped. Things are also being planned for Presidents' Day on the 17th.

Early days yet...... Once people get over the shock we'll see more signs of protest & resistance...
A friend of mine thinks it might get better because more people oppose him. Let's hope so.

Good luck with everything. The shock is starting to wear off....!
