I've been on the planet now for a fair amount of time. And in that time there have been a number of songs that have been timeless - some instantly so.

I my humble opinion, this song has what it takes to speak generations from now. It is easily one of my top ten all time favorites. I touches me on so many levels...

I totally agree Mike. When I first heard it I was just blown away... It made me think, smile, laugh, cry and nostagic for days afterwards. It's such a great song.

Here's another vote for great song! I had never seen the video, but heard the song on the radio quite a bit. What I love about this song are the lyrics. The language is so real and conversational. "Fucked up" is a timeless expression and what he discusses are such elemental emotions and experiences, that I believe generations from now, people will still relate to this song. The music is also great.

The song is very raw & visceral (ie *real*) which is why I love it some much. It's written by someone who has obviously been through the relationship 'meat-grinder' and come out the otherside a different and (hopefully) a wiser person - but not a bitter or a twisted one.

To be human is to fuck things up. The great thing is that we can learn from our fuck-ups (and from other peoples) and be better people because of them. We live & learn - or at least we *should* learn as we live!

I added the video to my side bar... I think it'll stay there a while. It says as much about me as I could.

I think you'll find the video has been withdrawn from youtube for copyright reasons :-(

I'm not a big Staind fan, but this is a great song. The thing about great songs is that they transcend genres. You don't have to like metal to like this song.

And the video is cool despite the fact that loser Fred Durst (of Limp Bizkit) directed it.
