The narrator talks about God telling Adam and Eve they would die but then they didn't "die". Well, Adam and Eve would still be living in the Garden but guess what? They were booted out of the garden and died! They also experienced a separation from God--a spiritual death.
The narrator asked why did God even create man if all of this "stuff" was going to happen. Answer: His glorification
The narrator says that atheists are quite content to say they don't know when they don't have the scientific answer to something. Christians are content to say they don't have all the answers either.
The narrator loves to use the Catholic church to condemn Christianity and talk about how it's always changing and it burned scientists at the stake--God didn't do those things--men did and they justified it with their own agendas and justification from Scripture. Does that mean that Scripture TOLD them to do those things? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Man makes it up and then tries to justify it in Scripture. Why? Because mankind is subject to sin and do sinful things against one another. The bible doesn't tell Christians to kill abortion doctors. Find it in the bible--I dare you. Religion might change--the Bible is the same.

He probably meant die immediately. Maybe he misunderstood? There's also death without hope of resurection isn't there? 'True' death?

That idea always confused me. Why does God *need* us to glorify Him?

Many of the Christians I've 'crossed swords' with simply say "God Did It" whenever there are any gaps...

I'd noticed that too. I have a feeling he might be an ex-catholic. Maybe that's why I agree with a lot of what he says?

Yup. They used religion & scripture to justify their actions... as do theists of various flavours continue to do so. Saying that, how are we expected to know what God wants us to do? If 100 people read a piece of scripture I can guess that you'll get more (many more) than a single interpretation of what it means... So how do we know for sure?

Are you sure? Hasn't the Bible changed over time? Haven't there been additions, deletions, editing, mistakes, mistranslations, authorised versions, unauthorised versions. When you talk about 'The Bible' which Bible are you actually talking about?
That idea always confused me. Why does God *need* us to glorify Him?
If you were god, how would you glorify yourself?

So. I didn't say it. :)

It's a pretty weak way to set about refuting Christianity as a whole if you run around attacking one sect of it all the time. If the catholic Church was the only thing representing Christianity, I probably would have a hard time believing too.

It's pretty obvious when a doctrine doesn't line up with Scripture. It's not hard if you really want to know. People just like looking at poor examples when they aren't on board with an idea in order to poke holes in it. The next time you hear a wild doctrine supported by Scripture, ask me if it's really supported in Scripture or not. It's seriously that simple most of the time.
Are you sure?
uh huh.
Hasn't the Bible changed over time?
Yes. But not for a very long time. I'm talking about the canon of Scripture as it is right now and has been for a long time.

If I was God I'm guessing that I wouldn't feel the need to be glorified. I'd be off building galaxies & new pecies everywhere....

Which neatly explains the Protestant movement.. [grin].

I'll have to take your word for that one!

OK. I'll rely on your expertise...!

How long is a 'long' time? What version do you use BTW?

Doesn't it just...? I heard that they were communists anyway. I mean, they lived in a forest, naked... had one apple between them & called it Paradise. Go figure! [rotflmao].
