I'm a fan of all of those things except I'm more partial to Scottish accents. I think I've watched Trainspotting 30 times. I could listen to Robert Carlyle, Kelly MacDonald and Ewan McGregor all day.

I can't say I know what Welsh sounds like. I'm sure I've heard it not knowing what it was.

We all have things we just like. I LOVE the smell of vanilla too.

Heck yes! There is nothing that would make an very ugly man attractive unless he had a Scottish accent! *laughing* But Ewan McGregor is very, very blessed as he has looks and an accent to swoon over!
And Here, Here! I'm all for symmetry. Just call me even Steven!

What I meant wasn't a Welsh accent (which is nice) but the actual Welsh language. For a while there is was on the brink of dying out - but they managed to save it. Hearing it spoken on the street gives me pleasure prtobably because it means that one less thing has been eliminated by creeping homogenisation.

I'll see if I can find something in Welsh on YouTube.

I may *live* in the West Country but I'm not *from* the West Country. I actually *like* the Welsh.... [grin]. Maybe it's my Celtic background...?

I find symmetry very... restful. Although sometimes I find asymmetry very exciting - go figure. Are you a picture straitener too? I can't stand pictures hung out of alignment!

There's studies that show a desire for symmetry when people rate how beautiful a face in a picture is. They take composite pictures of different faces and make new faces. Then they offset something - to make it more or less symmetrical to varying degrees. People almost always rate the more symmetrical faces more beautiful. Must be hard wired or something.

Highly likely I would've thought.
